We liked contemporary feel and the ability to relax in the lobby overlooking the river. Also liked the closeness to the street car stops and the roof top swimming pool area.

Did not like the price of the breakfast buffet, the broken toilet, the poor airconditioning, and that my requests upon checking in being ignored. We requested AWAY from the elevator (got the nearest room to it) and we requested cotton pillows because of allergies (did not receive them).

Location to the city, view of the canal.

Staff in restaurant and bar much less than enthusiastic.

Everything! The restaurants, the shops, the service, and its location made my first trip to New Orleans and the Mardi Gras a memorable experience. I wanted to stay longer, but obligations forced me home before I could fully explore the city and the bayou country. When I return for my next visit, I will stay at the Westin on Canal Street!

    Superb

The parking facilities, the mall, located close to historical area & the comforts of the room.... Did not stay long enough to frequent your hotel restaurants

    Superb

Location was great , only a five minute walk from Bourbon street, Central for everything really

The bar was a bit on the small side and got quite crowded on an evening.

Staff was very helpful. I had a problem with the tv and they were quick to respond. Got a free drink from the bar because he said I waited to long. Room service was quick and the housekeeping was amazing.

    Location, service and clean hotel.

    Superb

The Westin New Orleans is what I expect from a contemporary hotel in a big city...good location (actually above an urban shopping mall), close to French Quarter (kind of at the edge of the area), and easily within walking distance to what we came to see. We could however hear other guests in the hallway and in their rooms...walls seemed kind of thin. Otherwise, very nice place to stay.

    Position, veiw of river

A Westin Hotelis normally is a cut above the rest. This is not so the Westin New Orleans. Our room was on the 14 Floor. Bathroom waste basket was still full of trash from the previous guest Yuck!!! The shower head loose and hanging from wall. Carpets frayed at edge and my best a masive hole in the duvey. Try another hotel for your own good.

Great view from room looking down at Mississippi river. Location to french quarter good parking

    Good

The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.

The staff was rather rude. Our room was very noisy. We could hear people coming in at all hours of the night yelling explicit things. We parked in a parking facility across the street from the Westin, thinking it was okay to park there. We were charged $115.00 for parking only. Not planning on returning to the Westin.

The best location in the French Quarter, with majestic view of the Mississippi.

You get what you pay for. Because the fair was 30% than the hotel offers, I was placed in a 4th floor room that had workers waking pass my window all day. No views other than the roof. The internet did not work, neither did the tv as it would lose cable connectivity every 2 mins. Buyer beware!

    Very good

When I booked the room thru Booked.net I booked a deluxe king room which had a higher rate than just a regular king room. According to the picture on the website there was a sitting area completely separate from the room, but the room I got was not that, even though I paid the higher price ($209). There was supposed to be a minibar in the room also, but there was none. I asked at checkout thinking I may have gotten the wrong room and deserved a lower price, but they told me I had the right room and I did not argue. I realize now that I probably should have questioned this on check-in. I presume the information on the webiste was accurate conerning the room I booked.

Housekeeping was very nice and understanding

Valet was very slow and getting to the hotel was very difficult I guess it was because of mardi gras
